Veg Hakka Noodles recipe

Veg Hakka noodles is one among those recipes which are super delicious yet can be made quickly. So if you are tired after day’s work and are looking for a quick dinner, veg hakka noodles is your answer.

Ideally, wok should be used for preparing hakka noodles. If you don’t have that, just use a kadai. Kadai would do just fine. Use a few vegetables like cabbage, carrot, capsicum, onion. While cooking vegetables, make sure it’s still crunchy.It can be prepared within 20 minutes.

Ingredients(serves 2)

  • 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil
  • 100gm of hakka noodles
  • Veggies - Cabbage,Carrots,Red capsicum,Green capsicum
  • 2 tablespoons of finely chopped garlic
  • 3 tablespoons of red chilli sauce
  • 2 tablespoons of soya sauce
  • 2 tablespoons of tomato ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon of vinegar
  • Spring onions(to garnish)
  • Salt as per taste

Steps:

  1. Thinly slice the veggies lengthwise(Julienne strips)

  2. Boil hakka noodles in salted water for sometime

  3. Drain the noodles and wash under cold running water

  4. Add oil in a wok or kadai followed by garlic

  5. Shallow fry the veggies in medium flame about 3-5 minutes.Make sure that veggies are still crunchy

  6. Add red chilli sauce, ketchup, soya sauce and vinegar.Increase/decrease red chilli sauce as per your preference.

  7. Now add noodles and mix until well blended.

  8. Finally garnish noodles with freshly chopped spring onions

    Now serve it in a bowl and enjoy with tomato ketchup.
